Alexander is the Founder & Managing Director of Natural Strategies. He has supported biodiversity conservation & sustainable land use in more than 49 countries in Africa, Latin America & Asia with the UN & the private sector.

Sophie Bonnard

Sophie has worked for 10+ years on international cooperation on sustainable development and global policy for climate change and nature-based solutions. She spent 7 of those years with the UN Environment Programme.

Jess Kalisiak
Regional Lead,
South East Asia

Based in Cambodia, Jess co-develops Natural Strategies’ work on financing Nature-based Solutions in Cambodia and the region. She is a tropical marine biologist with experience in the Maldives, Seychelles, and Cambodia.

Lars Schmidt
Senior Technical Expert,
Carbon Projects

Lars develops feasibility studies, Project Idea Notes, and Project Designs for forest carbon projects across the globe, having worked with VCS and Plan Vivo methodologies in Myanmar, Laos, Indonesia, Ethiopia, Madagascar, and the Congo Basin.

Laura Boehm
Associate Consultant

As an Associate Consultant with Natural Strategies, Laura works on our project execution across several nature-based themes. Among others, Laura worked with GIZ on low-emission development strategies in the MENA region.
